HOW TO MAKE SLIME

Tonight, all the top celebrities will walk the orange carpet for the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. And while we totally want to see who wins the awards… we’re really watching to see who gets SLIMED!

Now, we don’t know the secret recipe for Nick’s famous green slime, but we do know how to make our own batteryPOP slime. Whether you plan on just mushing it around in your hands or dumping it on your friend’s head (after they say it’s okay, of course), you will have a great time concocting this totally gooey, slimy, slippery mixture!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup of WATER

2 cups of CORNSTARCH

Food coloring (Pick any color you want-- it doesn't have to be green. Try purple or orange!)

 1. Put 1 cup of water in a bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds so the water is warm.

2. Add 4 drops of food coloring to the warm water and stir it with a spoon.

3. Pour the 2 cups of cornstarch into a bowl. Slowly, pour in the water and mush the ingredients together with your free hand. You should start to feel the mix slime-ify!

4. Once you’ve mixed the ingredients, check to make sure the consistency is right. If it’s too watery, add some more cornstarch, a little at a time. If it’s too thick, add some more water. When you’re happy with the thickness, you can revel in the fact that—voila!—you have made your very own slime! You can store it in a bag for later or grab the bowl, grab a friend, and head outside for a slime fight! (Yes, we said OUTSIDE. Don’t ruin your carpet or we’ll get in trouble!)
