TOP 5 WAYS TO BRING FASHION WEEK HOME

This week, designers from around the world gather in New York City to unveil the latest in fine fashion. Models will strut, photographers will photograph, and fashion fans everywhere will be in a frenzy over what to wear this year. So while we can’t all have a front row seat on the runway, here’s how you can bring the glitz and glamour of Fashion Week to YOUR home.

  1. 5Make an outfit out of bubble wrap and newspapers. If anyone asks what you’re wearing, tell them it’s a fall trend and everyone is wearing this in France.

  2. 4Walk everywhere like you’re on a runway. Anything—grocery store aisles, sidewalks, cafeteria lines—can be a cat walk. Remember to smile (or don’t, if you’re THAT kind of model.)

  3. 3Drape a tape measure around your neck, wheel a dress mannequin around, and every so often shout, “Only 4 hours to runway and I haven’t sewn a thing!!!”

  4. 2Have an entourage follow you around taking flash photographs of your every move—assuming every move ends with you striking a very model-esque pose.

  5. 1. Greet everyone with, “Ciao, darling! I haven’t seen you since Milan!” This, followed by kissing each other on both cheeks, will make everyone know you’re a true international fashionista.
