All about Rowan Blanchard from GIRL MEETS WORLD

If you haven’t heard of Rowan Blanchard, you will soon! She’s the star of the new Disney Channel series “Girl Meets World,” a sequel to the popular ‘90s show “Boy Meets World,” which debuts today!


For seven seasons, “Boy Meets World” followed Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and his family, his friends and the love of his life. In the series, Cory marries his childhood sweetheart, Topanga (Danielle Fishel), and they go off to college. Cut to 14 years later and this is where “Girl Meets World” begins. This time following Cory and Topanga’s daughter, Riley Matthews, who is played by Rowan. The show follows her and how she struggles to find her own “world.”


Here are some fun facts about Rowan….


1. Her birthday is October 14, 2001. She’ll be 13 this year! Her zodiac sign is Libra. According to the astrology, Libras know how to get things done, and they are charming, fair people.


2. If you think Rowan looks familiar, then did you catch “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D?” She plays Rebecca Wilson in the blockbuster action movie. In the film, Rebecca did not accept her new stepmother and loved to play pranks on her. In real life, Rowan is close with her mom and dad.


3. At age 12, Rowan’s already worked with some super famous Hollywood ladies. Her stepmother in the “Spy Kids 4” film was the fabulous Jessica Alba and she worked with triple threat Jennifer Lopez in “The Back-Up Plan.”


4. On the show, Riley has a younger brother named Auggie. In real life, Rowan has two younger siblings, Carmen and James.


5. Rowan likes to be social on social media! You can find her on facebook, twitter, instagram, tumblr and vine!


6. Her parents are yoga instructors. Her dad is known as “Mr. Power Yoga.” How cool is it that you can do downward dog at home with your parents?!? Namaste.


7. In addition to acting, Rowan sings too! She and Sabrina Carpenter, who plays her BFF Maya on the show, sing the theme song of “Girl Meets World” called “Take On the World.”
