Tristin and Tyler love inviting guest chefs to come in and teach their favorite recipes. This week, Leslie Durso, a vegan chef fro Southern California, came in to teach everyone how to make mini veggie burgers called Earthburger Sliders. Her recipe makes 24 mini burgers, so invite your friends and neighbors over to share after you're all finished!
This snack is perfect for big events (like watching the Academy Awards), birthday parties, or just a casual snack with 23 of your closest friends. You can jazz up your sliders with fancy toothpicks, colorful plates, and exciting condiments (ketchup and mustard are classics, but what about guacamole, hummus, or maple syrup?!).
After you watch the episode HERE, we've got the written ingredients and instructions here so you can print them out and take them to the grocery store with you. Enjoy!
Black Beans (2 cups)
White Beans (2 cups)
Onion (1 half, diced)
Cooked brown rice (1 cup)
Oats (1/4 cup)
Bread crumbs (1/4 cup)
Garlic (2 cloves, chopped)
Nutritional Yeast (1 tablespoon)
Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
Tomato (1, diced)
Corn (1/2 cup)
Cilantro (1/4 cup, shopped)
Paprika (2 teaspoon)
Cumin (1 teaspoon)
Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
Grab a grownup! They can help pre-cut and cook.
After you wash your hands, grab a big mixing bowl. Dump in the beans and onion and start mushing with your hands. As you mush, add all the other ingredients and make sure they’re all mixed together well!
With your hands, make mini patties with the mixture.
Have a grownup cook them in a lightly greased pan for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Then, stick them on a bun and, voila! Earthburger Sliders for all!
