LUCKY RABBIT FEET: HOW TO MAKE BUNNY SLIPPERS

Traditionally, a rabbit’s foot is considered lucky. That means having two rabbit feet must be extra lucky. Now, you can have warm, comfy rabbits on your feet by making your own bunny slippers.

All you need are:

2 White Tube Socks

A piece of cardboard (big enough for both your feet to fit on)

Scissors

Glue

Felt

Decorative material (pom-poms, googly eyes, markers, or whatever else you want to use!)

How to make your own slippers:

1. Trace the bottoms of your left and right shoes onto a piece of cardboard. Cut out the cardboard. These will be the soles of your bunny slippers.

2. Stick each cardboard sole into a sock. Push it all the way down until it’s in the foot of the sock.

3. Twist the tube part of the sock right above the cardboard and fold it back over the sole. This is the part you slip your foot into.

4. Decorate the face of your bunny. Put a nose on the tip where your toes are. Cut ears out of felt, make a tail out of a cotton ball, and glue on googly eyes. If you are feeling extra adventurous, you can give your bunnies glasses or hair bows—they don’t have to match.

Once you’ve finished your bunny slippers, you can wear them anywhere—around the house, in the library, or even at fancy dinner parties (as long as your dress the bunnies in appropriate formal attire).
