March Movie Madness!

“Cinderella”

RATED PG, in theaters March 13th

Hurry before the clock strikes midnight! “Cinderella” is dancing onto movie screens in a new live-action version of the Disney animated classic. The fantasy movie looks AMAZING! The castle setting looks gorgeous, the special effects shine and it has a strong cast of actors!

The beautiful Ella (played by Lily James) must deal with her wicked step-mother (Oscar winner Cate Blanchett) and evil stepsisters when her father passes. They treat her as their servant and change her name to Cinderella because they have her cleaning the fireplace. But despite them, the kind-hearted Cinderella falls in love with a dreamy blue-eyed boy named Kit (Richard Madden) who turns out to be the prince! She’s forbidden by her step-mother and her jealous step sisters to attend the dashing prince’s ball. Lucky for Cinderella, she has a magical fairy godmother (played by the hilarious Helena Bonham Carter) who helps her get ready for the ball. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Carriage, footmen, beautiful blue ball gown, glass slippers and all! Will Cinderella and her prince have a happily ever after?

And don’t be late for the movie as the new “Frozen” short film, “Frozen Fever,” is appearing in front of showings of “Cinderella.” It’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa wants to throw her a party that she won’t forget. Sadly, Elsa has a cold, which makes it hard for her to plan. But the good news is that when the ice queen sneezes, cute snowgies appear! Also there is a brand new song called, “Making Today a Perfect Day.” We are ready to sing along!

“Home”

RATED PG, in theaters March 27th

The next movie includes an alien invasion! DreamWorks Animation’s “Home” is landing into theaters this month. The creators of “The Croods” and “How to Train Your Dragon” bring us this new action packed flick.

Cute aliens. Check. The voices of superstar musicians Rihanna and JLo. Check. Funny adventure. Check. This film has all the elements that we love when we go to the movies. The 3D animation looks incredible and is super colorful to watch. “The Big Band Theory’s” Jim Parsons voices Oh, a misfit from the alien race named Boov. The aliens, led by Captain Smek (voiced by funnyman Steve Martin), invade the planet earth. Oh meets a human girl named Tip (Rihanna) and the two go on a quest to find her missing mom (Jennifer Lopez). Tip has a silly cat named Pig who joins them. The human/alien buddy comedy excites us! The movie has a lot of heart and a great lesson that nobody is perfect. Will Oh and Tip find her mom? We hope so!

And if this doesn’t get any better, Rihanna also worked on the “Home” music soundtrack which will be released on March 23th. Two of the songs are “Toward the Sun” recorded by Rihanna and “Feel the Light” recorded by Jennifer Lopez are available to listen to now. There are also songs by Clarence Coffee Jr, Kiesza, Charli XCX and Jacob Plant. It sounds of out this world!
