Meet Pop Singer Eden Jones!

Eden Jones is pop singer from Brighton, England, and today, she's the subject of our New Music Now interview!

batteryPOP: When did you start performing?

Eden: I started performing when I was very small. I would make dances up to songs I liked and perform them in front of any family members I could pin down.

batteryPOP: Where do you get ideas for your songs?

Eden: Most of my song ideas come from a feeling I have. Good or bad it's always good to write about stuff you know.

batteryPOP: If you could sing a duet with anyone, who would you sing with and what would you sing?

Eden: If I could sing a duet with anyone it would be Pennies from Heaven with Frank Sinatra - I am a massive fan of classic 50s fashion and music and that is the cutest song.

batteryPOP: What do you like to do when you aren't singing?

Eden: When I'm not singing I tend to be writing a lot and painting. I am a super creative person so having an outlet for my ideas is very important to me. I also spend a lot of time with family and friends.

batteryPOP: Where is the craziest place that you've ever performed?

Eden: I perform pretty much anywhere with anyone so there are many places including on the tube and down the beach but my most memorable performances are always when my family can come to watch. That is always really special.

batteryPOP: What kind of music do you like to listen to?

Eden:  I listen to all sorts really, I love finding obscure unknown artists that no one has heard of and listen to a few tracks on their album then jump to the next.

batteryPOP: If you could rewrite a theme song for a cartoon, what cartoon would you pick?

Eden: If I could rewrite a theme tune for a cartoon I would love to write for something silly like Spongebob. The cartoon makes me literally laugh out loud and I think it would be fun to be able to put lots of random words into it that don't make much sence.
