November Movie Madness!

“Big Hero 6”

RATED PG, Coming out NOVEMBER 7th

Disney’s latest animated movie isn’t about princesses, it’s about Superheroes! “Big Hero  6” is a comedy about a boy and his inflatable robot. The creators behind “Frozen” and “Wreck-It Ralph” were inspired by the original Marvel Comics superhero team when coming up with this movie. The computer animation in “Big Hero 6” looks amazing and the story sounds awesome! When Hiro and his robot Baymax discover a criminal plot, they team up with some friends to form a legion of high-tech heroes…with NO crime-fighting experience. Can’t wait to see them in action!

The soundtrack (available on November 4th) includes music from 30 Seconds to Mars (Jared Leto’s band!) and Fall Out Boy, who rock out with the single “The Immortals.” Plus, a special treat that can only be seen in theaters is the new Disney short film, “Feast,”  about a man and his dog/best friend, Winston.

The movie stars the voices of Scott Adsit, Ryan Potter, Genesis Rodriguez, Jamie Chung, T.J. Miller, Alan Tudyk, James Crowell, Damon Wayans Jr., Katie Lowes, Maya Rudolph, and Daniel Henney.

If you love robot movies, check out the 1999 animated classic “The Iron Giant” (PG), where a boy befriends an alien giant robot. It stars the voices of Hollywood A-listers Vin Diesel, Harry Connick Jr. and Jennifer Aniston.

“Penguins of Madagascar”

RATED PG, Coming out NOVEMBER 26th

If you can’t get enough of “Penguins of Madagascar” on Nickelodeon, or you always fast-forward through the Madagascar movies to get to the Penguin scenes, we have good news for you. This Thanksgiving, “Penguins of Madagascar” are waddling onto the BIG SCREEN! This spin-off movie takes place right after the epic “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.” In this story, we learn that our fave penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are secret agents. They join North Wind, a spy organization, to stop Dr. Octavius Brine, an evil octopus shooting for global takeover. All the films in the Madagascar franchise have colorful animation and great music, and this one is no exception with the flipper thumping dance song “Celebrate” from Pitbull. Will the Penguins of Madagascar save the world? And if not…who will save them?

The movie stars the voices of Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, John DiMaggio, Christopher Knights, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Malkovich and Ken Jeong.

You can watch a trailer HERE.

And to get ready for the new Penguins movie, we recommend throwing a Madagascar marathon party (don’t forget the cheesy dibbles): “Madagascar,” “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,” and “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” are laugh out loud stories that all feature the lovable penguins. Flipper high five! The three movies are rated PG.
