There are few things in this world more fun than missing school for a snow day. But when the snow is SO bad you can’t actually go outside and enjoy it, here are a few amazing activities you can do indoors where it’s warm and dry!
Closet Clean Out Sumo. You know all those clothes in your closet that you thought you would never wear? Well all that changes today. Grab all the clothes you can manage to wear on top of each other and prepare to battle in the arena. Once you and your opponent are completely layered in tons of clothes, make a ring out of pillows and begin! Whoever bumps their opponent out of the arena is the champion!
Photo Recreation. Remember that really awesome picture you saw on the Internet a few days ago? Well, here is your chance to recreate every awesome picture you’ve seen. What you want to do is find the picture and then try to recreate the exact photo with your poses and things around the house. How many amazing pictures can you make even better with your special flare?
Hot Lava. It might be cold outside but it’s boiling hot inside. Imagine that all the floors in your house have instantly turned to hot lava! The objective is to see who can make it from one end of the house and back to the start without landing in the hot lava. The trick is that you can’t take the same route twice, so that full proof plan you had to make it to one side of the house won’t work on your way back.
Domino Effect Art. Gather as many dominos as you can and start lining them up one by one right next to each other. The plan is to have a creative design of dominos setup around the room. Whatever you do, be very careful not to knock anything over too soon. When you’re done, tip over that first domino and watch the magic happen. As the dominos fall one after another hopefully your hidden art piece will be revealed! Hot Chocolate Classics Corner. Nothing beats making a delicious cup of hot chocolate and snuggling up under the covers with your favorite book. Don’t forget the marshmallows and your bookmark. Some of our recommended readings are Sideways Stories From Wayside School, Captain Underpants, and Where the Sidewalk Ends.
Enjoy, and stay warm!
