Slow and Fast
Some of the slowest animals in KINDERZOO include Boris the Slow Loris, Timmy the Giant Tortoise and Martha the Manatee and some of the fastest are Ryan the Lion, Polly the Springbok Antelope and Peta the Cheetah. In our Kinderzoo Tales segment we learn how Ryan the Lion got his roar.

Scales, Fur, & Hair
The KINDERZOO is full of animals with all types of coverings – Paula the Polar Bear has both fur and hair, Chris the Cobra is covered in smooth shiny scales Polly the Orangutan has bright red hair and Johnny the Jaguar has fur with dark coloured markings to help him hide. Carlisle the Crocodile has rough skin on top and smooth skin on the bottom and Madeline the Pangolin has a coat of scales like amour. In fact, we find out how Madeline the Pangolin got her coat of scales in our KInderzoo Tales segment.

Hands, toes and tails can be very important to animals at the KINDERZOO. Boris the Slow Loris has a pincer-like grip, Roberta the Raccoon has nimble paws, Pav the Penguin uses flippers as hands, Teresa the Tapir has only three toes, Colin the Colobus Monkey has only four fingers and Kelly the kangaroo has a very strong tail. And in Kinderzoo Tales we find out how Pav the Penguin got his black and white coat.

Hide & Seek
Everyone loves to play Hide and Seek and the KINDERZOO animals are no exception. Roberta the Raccoon has her black and white mask, Paula the Polar Bear is white which makes it easier to hide in the snow, Debra the Zebra can hide in the trees with her black and white stripes, Johnny the Jaguar’s markings make him very hard to see in the jungle, just like the stripes that Tarli the Tiger has. In fact, we learn how Tarli got her stripes in KInderzoo Tales.
